I've had my TRA001 for a little over 1 year and I have run 6 raised panels, built 12 dovetailed drawers, 12 drawer fronts and 1 raised panel door. I just stated work on a grandfather clock in walnut which is going to need a lot of router work. Unfortunately, during the last small project made of 1/2 birch ply cutting dovetails, the router started to vibrate and on shutdown the spindle stopped almost immediately and smoke appeared out of the hole in the table top. The spindle was difficult to turn by hand and after letting it cool down it could turn easier but still has a catch in the rotation. Acts like a bad bearing. This router has always been mounted in a Sommerfelds Tools router table and never free hand.
Had the whetstone sharpener for many years. I recently switched from external jigs to use the installed support arms. The horizontal supports are not aligned with the stone. I was told this is common by the store that sold it to me. It's not the wheel, it's the support holders. I can use the verical supports but can't use the horizontal ones. Help?
I've tried a few of this size thicknesser. This is by far the best for this size.
Mainly because it's bushes and blades have lasted longer than any of the others and they are cheap and easy to get hold of online.
